Time in is a hidden gem in Haines City, FL, right off of I4 (exit 27). If you are like me, I am always trying to find INDOOR places to take my kids to play because it so hot outside!
I cannot believe I didn’t know this place existed! We know about Chuck E Cheese and Family Fun Center, but with little ones under 6, those places can pose real challenges because of the crowds and bigger kids who are playing a little rough. So, Time In is definitely the little kid friendly place to go! We discovered it when we were invited to a birthday party there, we instantly fell in love.
What is Time In? Time In is an indoor gentle- play center for toddlers up to six years old! Your child’s eyes will light up with excitement as soon as you walk through the door. There is so much to do from tunnels and slides, to pretend playing in little shops. There are objects to climb on and a ball pit to play in. Not only can your child play, but they can also stimulate their mind with sensory play, story time with crafts and water color Wednesday.
Want to know my favorite thing about Time In?
THE FACILITY IS SO CLEAN! Time In prides it’s self on cleanliness for the littles who come, because they want it safe for babies to crawl around on floor and not get the yucks on their hands. LOL! Not only that, but the staff is AMAZING! You can tell they genuinely care about the children who enter through their doors.
Sensory play includes any activity that stimulates a young child’s senses: touch, smell, taste, movement, balance, sight and hearing. At Time in! children will explore with modeling dough (play-doh), sand, and shaving cream. One activity each day. We will include other activities later on to explore other senses.
Time In also has a love for literacy and incorporating books into crafts and playtime activities.
From Time In’s website, “Everyone in the play area must be in socks (parents and children) and we have an area in the front where you can bring your lunch or snacks ! No food or drinks are permitted in the play area itself. The adults do not pay. You pay only for children up to 6 years of age who will be playing in the play area. Children 7 and older may come in to the play area but must play “big sister/brother” role and help the little ones play. Time in is designed and built for the little ones and our commitment is to keep them safe. We lean on the parents to help us with that.”
Time In offers daily activities for the parent and child to do together, they even post a calendar with the monthly events. Below is a calendar from last summer.
Time In is open Monday through Friday 10 am – 5 pm, it is closed on weekends for private birthday parties.
This is one of those must visit places, it would be great for play dates and a way to meet other parents.
